Once there was a very beautiful and innocent girl Disha. She was seven years old. She was loved by her parents to infinity. As she was the only child, her parents wanted to give her the whole world. She used to get whatever she wanted.
Though her parents wanted her all wishes to be fulfilled, but they never wanted her to become a stubborn, arrogant and a selfish child.
Disha’s mother used to keep feeding in her mind about all the good habits. Time and again she used to tell her to be grateful, honest and generous.
On Disha’s seventh birthday, she wanted to buy a very expensive doll. As always, her parents happily bought her the doll. She named her doll “Lia”. Within no time, her doll became a very integral part of her life. She always used to keep her doll beside her.
Once she went on a picnic arranged by school. Even after denial from her parents, she took Lia to the picnic. There while she was playing with her friends, she completely forgot about the doll. While returning from the picnic, she realised that she forgot the doll at the picnic spot.
Now she was sad as well as scared.
She said to herself “What should I do now?” “How will I tell mumma papa that I have lost my most favourite doll?”
“Mumma papa will be very angry, they told me not to take the doll along”, she thought.
After lot of thinking, she decided that she will tell her parents that her friend had lost the doll and it wasn’t her fault at all. She thought it to be the best solution, or else she will get scolded by her parents.
When she reached home, her other asked about Lia. As soon as she was about to lie, her heart didn’t allow her to speak the lie, and so she spoke the truth, that she forgot it at the picnic spot.
Disha was expecting a lot of harsh words from her parents, but surprisingly, her mother hugged her tightly and said “I’m so proud of you my child. You spoke truth, which is a quality I always wanted you to have. I am so happy today.”

Disha took a deep breath, a sigh of relief. She promised her mother that she will listen to whatever her parents would tell her and be careful in future.
Next day only, she got a new doll as a gift from her parents, for speaking the truth.
Moral: Never fear from speaking the truth, even if it seems to be the difficult path.
